First Snow of the Season

I awoke to this scene out my sewing room window this morning.

The boy and husband are very excited. One of the local ski areas, Wolf Creek, is even open today. It's sticking to the grass but not the sidewalks or streets so it's the best of both worlds, snow without having to shovel.

It's a good day to stay in and work on this.

OMG - I saw that and had to look see where you were. It is beautiful here in Michigan. I always expect to see snow here first! Yikes! Love that quilt you are working on.

Love the quilt you are working on!

Congratulations on the snow. Water in any form at any time is a blessing in the desert. And, a bonus sewing day thrown in the bargain. :)

i did the same thing as the above commenter. I couldn't remember if I'd heard where you are...so I looked up Wolf Creek. Oh my! Early October for snow seems a smidgen early!

Oh not snow already! I hope it takes a long time to reach us. You chose a great quilting design for your sudoku quilt.

My friends in Idaho had a lot of snow this past weekend (10" in some spots), so I was wondering if you were getting it, too. It was 80 degrees here this weekend! We are loving it. I am NOT ready for snow yet! Looks like you were making the best of it, though. :-)
